I’m pretty busy these days but I do have a set of drawings coming up for some of my friends. Here’s alook at the rough-roughs. When I get a small window I’ll try to throw 20 minutes a night on them one at a time and make them happen.
This is the thought that’s been kinda bouncin around my head for my friend Alex’s car. He’s wanted a drawing for a long time so I wanted to do something a little different. The tree is very specific and the little character is something I satrted using about 16 years ago, so he only makes an appearance on the really important pieces. I’m looking forward to working this up over the next few months and seeing where it wants to go.
This one will be for my man Ed. This guy is one of the best people I know. He never lets me down. He’s a back havin mofo. lol This sketch doesn’t really have the attitude I want so I may have to work it a bit more but I see something in it I like so I’m looking forward to this one too.
ABQ Firefighter’s Squareback
This piece may actually see the table before the other pieces do. The owner of this car is so proud of his vehicle. It’s not cause it’s a shiny show car or a super fast road rocket. This car oozes character and the owner exemplifies what I find most appealing about VW owners. When I went to sketch this car I landed on this little number right away. Sometimes it happens that way, in any case I see that as a sign that this one is meant to be so I’m looking forward to this one too.
That’s it for now.
